Decrease Financial Stress

In 2021, Pricewaterhouse Coopers" (PwC) Employee Financial Wellness Survey found that 72% of millennials and 68% of Gen Zers are experiencing increased financial stress. So this month, Crescent focuses on financial wellness, providing training, development, and resources to help take back control over your finances, meet financial goals, and have financial freedom in retirement.

Life can get messy, and sometimes we need a little help to get through it all. Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) helps manage your and your family's total health, including mental, emotional, and physical. And it comes at no cost to you — whether you're enrolled in a Crescent's medical plan or not.

 

EAP: Crescent's EAP Program Offers emotional health, wellbeing, grief counseling, marriage and family counseling, and more from several certified healthcare professionals, 24/7, 365 days a year.

 

Wellworks:  Stress Management e-Learning Series explore skills to identify the physiological, emotional, behavioral, and cognitive symptoms of stress. This program aims to learn strategies to recognize, reduce, and relax when dealing with a situation beyond our control. 

 

Crescent University: Personal development includes emotional intelligence and self-awareness. Crescent University's Being Your Authentic Self course will help you understand what it means to be authentic and embody the real you no matter where you are.

 

Wellbeats: Need some extra motivation to get moving? When you enroll in the Move with Heart Challenge, you help support the families of HopeKids. This 4-week challenge includes three classes per week focused on elevating your heart rate, relieving stress, and boosting your mood.

Wellworks:  Are you curious about a biometric screening and why specific blood values and body measurements are taken? Or maybe you’re interested in what your values each year mean and the simple steps you can take to keep them on track or start to improve them. The Meaning Behind Your Biometrics Series will discuss the basics of a biometric screening, how to prepare, and what to do with your results. We will also dive into what each of these values mean, how it impacts your overall health, and what you can do to make a positive change.

 

Crescent University: Give your social skills a boost! Communication is key to successful relationships, growth and development, and more. The Guide for Healthy Communication e-learning series will give you the tools to communicate with others healthy, productive, and professional manner.

 

Wellbeats: Calm your mind and body with us as we take on the “Stress Less” challenge. This challenge, offered through Wellbeats, includes a day-by-day schedule of yoga, cardio, mindfulness, stretching, and nutrition classes to manage stress and promote a healthy, positive mindset.

Unstoppable Fitness

Physical fitness is deeper than jogging and exercise; in fact, fitness means having the ability to carry out daily tasks with energy and alertness without growing tired or weary. So start lacing up your sneakers and break out the sweatbands. This month, we will begin the Crescent walking challenge focusing on Unstoppable Fitness within our mental health, career wellbeing, and strengthening the Crescent community.

 

Wellworks: Did you know walking alone has over 30+ health benefits? What’s not to like about walking? It’s free, and you can do it at your own pace! Join us for our annual walking challenge, where participants have the chance to win cool prizes, medical discounts, and more!

 

Crescent University: Resiliency, one of the superpowers needed to overcome many of life’s challenges. Our Being Resilient, No Matter What course teaches qualities of resilient people and provides eight strategies to improve resilience, such as becoming more self-aware, having a positive outlook, and being flexible to bounce back and remain unstoppable.

 

Wellbeats: Lose weight the healthy way! Join us for the Lose Weight challenge with Wellbeats; this class is based on the science of weight loss and has proven to be the most effective way to lose weight and keep it off. Grab a friend and set a goal together!
