Crescent’s capabilities in managing Logistics or Distribution operations span between Stand-Alone, Embedded, Plant Support, Precision Parts and all complimented by our dedicated Transportation Operations. Details on these various services are:
- Stand-Alone Warehousing includes traditional public or 3PL warehousing and distribution of products from our facilities in strategic locations within the Midwest. These multi-client operations are typically managed on a transactional basis with a highly variable and on-demand cost basis.
- Embedded Distribution Operations are customized and dedicated operations within our clients’ Distribution Centers, designed specific to clients’ needs and requirements. These operations are managed on an integrated basis, usually as part of a strategic initiative allowing the client to control and manage the real estate separate to the operating business.
- Plant Support Operations are near or within a manufacturing plant, manage all raw and packaging materials consumed by the plant, finished good storage and distribution, and many other logistical support activities.
- Precision Parts Fulfillment is specific to managing the entire front end supply chain for industrial manufacturers that support their parts supply into their manufacturing plants, repair centers or after-market parts/services to their customers. These operations include extensive parts management, piece picking, bagging, standard kitting, shadow kitting, labeling and consolidation services.
- Transportation consists of both Crescents’ asset and non-asset operations that directly support its stand-alone distribution, embedded or plant support operations. The asset based transportation operations typically are dedicated to a client’s activities within their supply chain or the non-asset operations utilizing Crescents’ core TL, LTL and small package carriers to manage the final distribution process.
