Let Me Check the System

How many times a week do you hear - or say - these words? Whether you are checking order status over the phone or shopping in a retail store, someone is likely to state this exact response.

Like most companies, Crescent has a "system" that we use for controlling inventory, managing production, order fulfillment, and many other capabilities. And also like most companies, our "system" is a key tool used to provide essential services for our customers.

Since Crescent's founding in 1987, we have relied on a proprietary system that has given us the flexibility needed to handle a diverse customer base. This includes unique demands of food, consumer goods, health and beauty and aerospace clients. And although our system continues to be an effective tool, we recognize that ERP and MRP technologies have advanced a great deal over the past few years.

Beginning in October 2011 Crescent is excited to announce that we will be partnering with Nulogy, implementing their PackManager system software at our Cincinnati headquarters.

PackManager will enable Crescent to integrate all of the critical components of our co-packing business. This will allow Crescent AND our customers to gain efficiencies in the end to end process, while providing real time visibility to production and inventory.

And because PackManager is cloud based, key metrics and dashboards can be accessed from almost anywhere, on almost any device!

Implementing PackManger will align two of Crescent's fundamental objectives - embracing the spirit of continuous improvement and enhancing the value of our customer's products. Our partnership with Nulogy is a critical step to advancing our core capabilities and upholding our reputation as a world class service provider.

Over the next nine months, PackManager will be rolled out at all of our co-packing sites.

So when a Crescent representative says that they are going to "check the system", now you know that system will be the very capable PackManager!
