Embedded Operations
Crescent operates several Embedded and Co-Located operations in the Midwest. These operations are dedicated to clients’ business or activities within their Manufacturing Plant or forward/centralized Distribution Center. These operations are highly customized to client’s specific requirements; often an integrated extension of a client’s plant or distribution operation. These operations can complement plant/distribution centers managed by client, contract manufacturer, or 3PL.
These types of operations typically provide a sustainable cost savings by reducing excess handling and transportation, increased flexibility, and reduced cycle time.
Service features are:
- Many years of experience in designing/engineering, constructing and setting up operations
- CapX Investment with client operations
- Capabilities to fully utilize clients systems and/or a hybrid of client and Crescent’s systems
- Trained Lean Sigma staff and Black Belts to lead process improvement projects
- Transparent operational standards and performance goals measured and reported
- Allows either the Plant or Distribution operations to focus on their core-competencies
- Highly developed management data reporting for forecasting and process improvements
- Develop and train fully capable management and support team to fully service clients' operations
- Experienced and capable of operating from one shift/five days weekly to 24 hours, seven days a week
- Experienced and capable of managing clients' demand planning and MRP processes
- Creative and customized fixed and variable costing structure to meet clients' specific needs
