Embedded Facilities

Many CPG customers are looking more to an embedded contract packaging operation within their DC’s as a viable solution driven by both fuel costs as well as Green Initiatives.

Crescent employs a proprietary Service Center model to determine the optimal number of lines, space required and staffing. This model was developed based on years of experience in running these types of operations, particularly integrated with our transportation roots. With about 10 key inputs, Crescent can determine the optimal level-loading of an operation to cost justify this type of an operation.

Crescent currently operates 2 embedded operations with major CPG’s, using this model on a daily basis for an open book transparent relationship.
