The U.S. FDA regulates all OTC (Over the Counter) drugs and cosmetics. One can only imagine the complexities involved with this responsibility! An important part of maintaining control of these materials is simply knowing WHO handles them in each step of the supply chain. That is why there is a regulatory mandate for these companies to register with the FDA on an annual basis.
Crescent’s diverse client base includes Beiersdorf (makers of Nivea, Eucerin and Aquaphor brands), L’Oreal, along with other companies that brand cosmetics and moisturizers containing OTC drugs. Because of this, Crescent’s sites are registered with the FDA as a drug re-packer and re-labeler.
Although Crescent as a company does not manufacture or brand drugs and cosmetics, we fully understand how important it is for us to protect our customers’ products while in our care. We have the necessary quality and safety programs in place to ensure a secure distribution and packaging environment is maintained - with full product recall and traceability.
These programs are applied to ALL of our customers - whether CPG, industrial parts or food based.
Of course, being registered with the FDA means that we are subject to routine inspections, which Crescent has experienced over the past several years - with zero deviations noted. And should our customers be audited by the FDA, they can take comfort in knowing that Crescent is doing our part to protect their products!
